10 Finalists Selected For Technology
Commercialization Awards
Sterling, VA, September 15, 2004 – 4Wave Inc has been selected
as one of the ten finalists for Virginia’s Small Business Research
Commercialization Awards, a program designed to recognize the Commonwealth’s
small businesses for achievements or potential in commercializing technology developed
under the federal Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology
Transfer programs and the Advanced Technology Program.
The awards selection committee has invited the following firms to the second round of
judging, which includes presentations in front of the panel:

Secretary of Technology George C. Newstrom will announce the award winners at an evening
reception on October 13 during Virginia’s 10th Annual SBIR Conference, October 13-14
at the Sheraton Crystal City in Arlington.
American Express Tax and Business Services Inc., Virginia’s Center for Innovative
Technology, the law firm of Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, PLLC, Virginia’s
Department of Business Assistance, and Virginia Business magazine launched this new awards
program to highlight the important role that small companies capable of securing federal
funds for research and development play in enhancing the Commonwealth’s high-tech
economy.
